Assistant Manager (Former Employee) - Raurkela, Orissa - September 24, 2021
This was my first job with a big corporation. On job training was really grilling, but the job was really challenging with lot of discretionary powers to experiment and innovate at all levels. Good work is really rewarded. Management is very fr6and caring and stand by you in difficult situations. Its largest Indian employer after Railways, with ocean of opportunities for growth and career advancement. Townships are wonderful and have cosmopolitan culture. Great place to work.
Pros
Good rumerations, growth, free medical care and housing.
Cons
Long hours of work. Tough working conditions.

Internship (Former Employee) - Rourkela, Orissa - March 14, 2020
excellent place to learn management and work culture.
the higher authority is so humble and takes the obligations in such a manner that complex work seems like a piece of cake for a new intern.

Fun workplace but limited growth opportunities
Junior Manager (Former Employee) - Ranchi, Jharkhand - December 29, 2019
I was placed as an in house consultant in SAIL, Ranchi. It is a typical 9-5 job with occasional instances of overtime as the project deadline approaches. You will have immense opportunities to follow your hobbies/interests alongside the job. The projects offered were challenging in nature and helped me understand the steel industry from a birds-eye view.

Challenging.
Executive director (Former Employee) - New Delhi, Delhi - December 8, 2019
Fantastic PSU and very caring provided you work as a team and care for it.
My experience with SAIL has been very challenging and the way I could work with freedom gives any individual an opportunity to develop oneself in case he is serious enough to contribute.

Bad for those who are seeking excitement
Manager Corporate Strategy (Former Employee) - New Delhi, Delhi - November 12, 2019
Highly micromanaged and hierarchical. Not recommended to millennials. Really bad perks, especially with no pay revision benefits already being enjoyed by other PSUs.

Manager(Law) (Former Employee) - Kolkata, West Bengal - September 23, 2019
SAIL is a Navaratna PSU. The work culture here is absolutely fantastic. Cooperation in between the employees in achieving the jcompany's targets is remarkable. The human resource policies are so good that inspire every employee to execute their responsibilities smoothly. Salary and other benefits which include health and medical facilities of the entire family and other benefits are the best. incountry.

LINE PILOT (Former Employee) - all over india - February 18, 2019
huge organization but really not focused at safety. Took aviation as just the steel working business. So really the govt department ought to revisit their aviation department.
