Productive learning opportunities. Enough challenging jobs, but no encouragement. Growth potential limited. Growth is limited.

Joined as graduate IE. Good opportunity of learning and challenging works. But no appreciation for hard work or separate rewards. Less or slow potential for growth. Still. thankful for providing opportunity to work in diversified work fields like, Industrial Engineering, Operation Personnel, Production Planning, Administration and Liasioning, Vigilance and security, Township and hospitality etc.

Job security. No target pressure, moderate work environment. Almost Free accommodation, health care, scurity

No recognition, moderate compensation, less growth.

Productive & liberty to implementation of innovative ideas

Working in Steel industry is challenging & have to overcome many hazzards. At the Sametime many targets have been achieved through dedicated team. Implemented many suggestions & upgradation jobs to achieve safety of man & machines. Have learnt a lot both technical & non-technical subjects. Work culture had improved a lot. Had to work for prolonged time in case of emergency & urgency. Was a part of the management & had to take many decision for improving productivity & imparted hands on training to subordinates & newly joined trainees.

A great place to learn and earn.

This was my first job with a big corporation. On job training was really grilling, but the job was really challenging with lot of discretionary powers to experiment and innovate at all levels. Good work is really rewarded. Management is very fr6and caring and stand by you in difficult situations. Its largest Indian employer after Railways, with ocean of opportunities for growth and career advancement. Townships are wonderful and have cosmopolitan culture. Great place to work.

Good rumerations, growth, free medical care and housing.

Long hours of work. Tough working conditions.

These review ratings are based on the work culture in 90's. There must have substantial improvement in Twenties

Class room and Onsite training are very rigorous. The job demands lot of efficiency, theoritical and practical proficiency of your work area. Job is very demanding at SAIL.

A big organization with lot of prospects for career growth, learning and innovation.

The plant life is very tough. It is very difficult keep balance between work life and family life.

place to learn so much.

excellent place to learn management and work culture. the higher authority is so humble and takes the obligations in such a manner that complex work seems like a piece of cake for a new intern.

Fun workplace but limited growth opportunities

I was placed as an in house consultant in SAIL, Ranchi. It is a typical 9-5 job with occasional instances of overtime as the project deadline approaches. You will have immense opportunities to follow your hobbies/interests alongside the job. The projects offered were challenging in nature and helped me understand the steel industry from a birds-eye view.

Wonderful to work in SAIL. I have my personal reasons to exit.

It is a wonderful place to work. Having a perfect work life balance. Job is for both for daily and period wise. Daily job related to sales invoicing and dispatching. Period work was related to reporting requirements and other.

Good and balanced

Company is good but there is no proper work culture. And there is no scope for growth and exposure. Lots of thing to learn but still not enough to grow more

Fantastic PSU and very caring provided you work as a team and care for it. My experience with SAIL has been very challenging and the way I could work with freedom gives any individual an opportunity to develop oneself in case he is serious enough to contribute.

Bad for those who are seeking excitement

Highly micromanaged and hierarchical. Not recommended to millennials. Really bad perks, especially with no pay revision benefits already being enjoyed by other PSUs.
