The most useful review selected by IndeedWorking in Steel industry is challenging & have to overcome many hazzards. At the Sametime many targets have been achieved through dedicated team. Implemented many suggestions & upgradation jobs to achieve safety of man & machines. Have learnt a lot both technical & non-technical subjects. Work culture had improved a lot. Had to work for prolonged time in case of emergency & urgency. A great place to learn and earn.
Assistant Manager (Former Employee) - Raurkela, Orissa - September 24, 2021
This was my first job with a big corporation. On job training was really grilling, but the job was really challenging with lot of discretionary powers to experiment and innovate at all levels. Good work is really rewarded. Management is very fr6and caring and stand by you in difficult situations. Its largest Indian employer after Railways, with ocean of opportunities for growth and career advancement. Townships are wonderful and have cosmopolitan culture. Great place to work.
Pros
Good rumerations, growth, free medical care and housing.
Cons
Long hours of work. Tough working conditions.

Company is good but there is no proper work culture. And there is no scope for growth and exposure. Lots of thing to learn but still not enough to grow more

Manager(Law) (Former Employee) - Kolkata, West Bengal - September 23, 2019
SAIL is a Navaratna PSU. The work culture here is absolutely fantastic. Cooperation in between the employees in achieving the jcompany's targets is remarkable. The human resource policies are so good that inspire every employee to execute their responsibilities smoothly. Salary and other benefits which include health and medical facilities of the entire family and other benefits are the best. incountry.

very good company but human resource management is very poor
Technical Assistant , Contract Cell (Current Employee) - Jharkhand - July 5, 2017
I am working with SAIL. Since it is a government concern job security is at its best. you have got social security, financial freedom ,work culture is good but at some point of time you will start feeling disheartened since there is very less opportunity of growth.
they dont have systems to distinguish performers and non performers. you work with your best potential but all in vain. best company for lazy people.
Pros
salary, security, medical facility, less pressure
Cons
human resource management

Secure Job and good work life balance
Assistant Manager (Former Employee) - Raurkela, Orissa - March 4, 2017
A good place to work. Stable life. Limited growth. High job security. Scope for learning about heavy industries. Bog organization, so high level of organizational politics. PSU, hence chill life.
