Making sustainable living commonplace has been the core value of Unilever since time immemorial till date. Unilever indeed is a great company that is responsible for many products, of which the company itself has successfully conquered over 190 countries.Unilever is always doing good and will continue doing good, especially in the future. We are Unilever. We are sustainability-driven.We are transforming the manufacturing process to its zenith. We are project sunshine.God bless Unilever!

Pros

Cons

A place to thrive at.

There's always something new to learn each day. Seniors are very helpful and encouraging, they often support us whenever we are in need. Managers improve the way of working and encourage creativity in work. Hard work never goes unappreciated here, and our time is valued by all. There are very less toxic employees here, mostly we have a great group of supporting colleagues. Often there is outbound and supplier visit which helps in socializing and better technical understanding. Overall, it's a wonderful place to work and grow in a career.

Pros

A place to grow one's knowledge, there's no login/logout time, there's affordable lunch at the canteen, there are fun events and mental relaxation programs, once or twice a year we have an outbound.

Cons

WFH has extensive working hours, there's no company vehicle for employees.

Job security but slow career advancement

Unilever India offers exemplary benefits and job security. However, career advancement is bit slower. They promote inclusion and diversity. Management is supportive. It is tough in times of crisis as the management requires you to work overtime.

It's been a work place with Great culture, which is nurtured by each Employee, in general, than an imposed one.

A great place to learn and try out our ideas. Care given by the Organisation for personal well-being is very high.Organisation makes you feel you belong there.

Productive and Fun

Work Culture is excellent and working hours is flexible. Sometimes, I have felt that management is not open enough in communicating certain things to their employees especially the reasons while rating.

Pros

Flexible Working Hours

New age imperialism

Mediocre paper pushing managers use an army of external consultants to do their work. Very little innovation and progressive thinking. All the news one sees about their culture - and people friendly, growth mindset driven work is just a sham PR exercise. The part of the organization I worked with (internal IT/CIO office) was a petridish of regressive thinking instead of the thought leader that they are supposed to bs

My experience

Overall a good company but loads of politics. Good work tends to get overlooked and licking boots becomes the way for promotions. Line managers are busy saving their own backs and wont hesitate to lie and make scapegoats out of their reportees. Restructuring every year without even divulging the returns/benefits reaped out of it before the next one comes in.

Good work life balance and very supportive work culture

Workplace culture is very inclusive and supportive. Irrespective of the background, people here respect talent and are very encouraging. Company has very unique formal and informal mentor culture which helps any new comer to understand the nuances of corporate environment,
