High politics no growth
Lead Analyst (Former Employee) - Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala - April 29, 2023
Company is famous for its high level of internal politics. Too much state wise segregation. All management is mallu. Kerelities get upper hand in everything. Other state ppl plz stay away. Most managers are cheap with no technical background.
Pros
On time salary
Cons
Too much politics and less job security

Not a stable company
Quality Analyst (Former Employee) - Bangalore - January 6, 2023
If you are planning for a job switch where you would want to stay for 6-7 months , ust could be right place for you. But you will start feel like leaving post 6 months because one can only bear the micromanagement, unskilled managers, politics to a certain extent. I worked as Guidewire QA for here, but seeing the complete continuous unprofessionalism from the management, had to leave. Tbh , they have a very wierd culture. They don't trust you because they know you would leave after a short spell, so why not take most out of your situation if you are billable. Even if the client approves your planned leaves, these ust managers wont saying that their billing will get affected. How cheap is that. Also they won't be able to keep you on bench after a while.
Pros
Nothing
Cons
Only join when u are miserable and not getting any job

Not good in terms of job security
Systems Analyst (Former Employee) - Hyderabad - December 30, 2022
They have very few projects in Hyderabad location, all are client side. Bench policy is only a month. There is too much micromanagement from ust when you are working at client side.
Pros
Free LinkedIn learning
Cons
No job security, rude management

Ok company , not for experienced folks
Sr. Software Engineer (Former Employee) - Bangalore, Karnataka - November 9, 2022
It is a staffing firm, so you can expect the policies to be not that transparent. Environment is not that good. They hire struggling people who are out of work. Not many projects and getting the project in your domain is luck just like other third party hiring firms. No job security. Once client says bye bye.. ust will also ask you to go.
Pros
Didn't find any
Cons
Management is unclear with the processes they set.

Very dangerous company
Quality Analyst (Former Employee) - Pune, Maharashtra - November 1, 2022
No clear HR policies. If released from project, they will ask you to resign. Management talks about ust values all the time but sack you if you are on bench for more than a month. Also lot of politics and micromanagement. Environment is very bad.

Management in UST is very rude. They have recruited people with sales background as managers . The way they talk is so unprofession. It looks like fish market. No proper process is followed. Managers make spelling mistakes while sending mails. Do not join this company if you are an experienced folk.

worst Company to join , Avoid it ,
Senior Software Engineer (Current Employee) - Bangalore, Karnataka - August 24, 2022
Salary is very Less No hike or Variable pay , even if we get 5 star rating from client. No work life balance , Not an employee friendly company. Work Rules - 9 AM to 6 PM - Mandatory , 5 days a week They dont bother about employees personal space and work life balance Rude management - Top level management are Cheta management. All rules and process decision taken by Cheta - top Level management and chechi - HR girls. If some one from Kerala wants to join , they can very well join the company. For other states and working professionals , it is not appropriate company . Projects are short term , no inside projects , all are outside project from external client , need to visit client office and also the UST office , should work in both the offices.

Stressful and low pay
Embedded Engineer (Current Employee) - Bangalore, Karnataka - July 4, 2022
Good for freshers but once you are experienced, company doesn't bother much about one's career growth. One has to struggle too much since it is a service based company. Also being service based they don't have much clients atleast in the automotive domain Salary is not as per industry standards. Need to check other domains though how they manage
Pros
Employee benefits
Cons
Long hours, stressful work, low pay

An ok company
DevOps Engineer (Current Employee) - Kochi, Kerala - June 23, 2022
Depends of the project you get. Very low hike. Doesn't matter whether you work hard or not...all get the same hike in your team. If you are put into a bad project...then the manager won't even cooperate with you to change you to another team.

Managers and dirty politics! The company may struggle a lot from these two.
Project Engineer (Former Employee) - Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala - April 28, 2022
Company in General The company has some nice policies and good people in top management. However, the employee hardly benefits from the good side of UST due to managers and team leads being birdbrains. You'll land up in a lingua-political work environment where Keralites and Telugus team up against each other. Even though they interact as if they are friends, there is spite for each other deep down, and you can expect a backstabbing at any moment. Even though you perform well, your manager & TL decides if it should be taken to the top management. Snitches will be managers' pets. If you know how to take issues to HR or top management, you can be successful. Professional Growth UST offers limited professional growth as it's just a third-party service provider to many companies. Your growth depends on your client's and your manager's subjective view of your performance (managers mostly prefer snitches and clients prefer high-achievers. Thus, there can be clashes.). If you are relieved from a project, they will throw you to benches where you will get bored and will be forced to resign. They have tie-ups with some learning providers. However, if you need specific training or something, it will be hectic to go through the manager's desk. He / She decides if you should be given any training. And most of the time, these managers are not techies - so they don't understand how things work. And, they have different salary/reimbursement policies for people. If you are in their good book, you will get your salary revised when you receive some appreciation. Or, you won't even get the -
