Good company to begin your career. Nice environment. Good Perks. But it also depends on the team you are into. Luckily I joined a great team and I was able to learn a lot
I have worked at verizon more than a year.I joined as a fresher. There is not much work for fresher. But the work and tech stack depends upon teams. Some of the teams have really good work.
Some teams are doing projects on cutting edge technology. Some are just maintainence jobs. Management are mostly IT people, so they are not completely on top of their job.
We can explore more on new technologies. I had a good team members who will help. We can participate on hackathons which will give chance to explore new technologies

We get to work in a corporate culture exploring career progression opportunities with challenges in a leading organization where I have utilized my communication skills, smart working ability, assertive behavior to make a tangible contribution for the growth of the organization and myself.
The flexible timings and good package are a couple of the many things that lured me to Verizon. Although I joined as a fresher, I was treated as Professionals from Day 1. There is no practice of addressing senior employees as Sir/Madam.

When the Justice Department of the United States mandated AT&T Corporation to break up the Bell System, one of the seven Baby Bells was Bell Atlantic, the original name for Verizon.[9] Bell Atlantic came into existence in 1984 with a footprint from New Jersey to Virginia, with each area having a separate operating company (consisting of New Jersey Bell, Bell of Pennsylvania, Diamond State Telephone, and C&P Telephone).
It feels really motivating to work with a company like Verizon. Each employee is carefully chosen for the roles they work and the challenges faced by the kind of work we do will leave a person with a productive experience. Though, there is a need to learn new technologies in a short period of time, the learning support provided by the organization was immense.
