Should be slave at VIT University if you go for low level position. Ladies administration. Ruling party are ladies. Should do A to Z work.
Data Entry Operator ( Secretarial Work ) (Former Employee) - Chennai, Tamil Nadu - October 29, 2019
In VIT should work 365 days in library and full time 10 to 14 hours in a day. Benefits is there but we cant use that and they will put you to any department and any section to do work.Work should be done within a day. To be a slave person until they tell us to move. HR and Section supervisor, Secretary ladies are very Ego persons and make politics everyday. They will be watching all the activities of new joiner and check others bag and do all small boys activities. They wont behave like a maturity people. Full of Ego and prestigious people in VIT. Many guys resigned from the VIT due to work tension and pressure of holding long time work.

Just OK working.
Senior Manager (Former Employee) - Vellore, Tamil Nadu - August 1, 2019
An average working privately held university with huge campus. Focus is on maximising profits. More students than actual capacity. Students are loaded in hostels and classrooms.
Pros
Subsidised meals 12 hrs x 6 days fro employees, medical facilities cashless, excellent maintained campus and surroundings.
Cons
Highly cetralised decision making, poor growth, salaries and designations on case to case basis, no defined organisation structure, no employee ever trusted, opinions and decisions made on grapevine, no job security.

A place much better than many self financed colleges

The management strives to be the best in business. It also offers attractive package and opportunities for the faculty and staff. However, at times, the demands can get unreasonable.
Pros
Low teaching work load and emphasis on research
Cons
Too many extra-curricular activities
