VIT University
VIT University Employee Review
Work culture is good. You can maintain work and personal life balance
Junior Research Fellow (JRF) (Former Employee) - Vellore, Tamil Nadu - February 19, 2023
However the work culture is good but the any procedure related to admin is mind boggling They don't have any transparency. The project assistants and phd students are mostly ignored.
Pros
5 days a week
Cons
Restricted rules on working in labs during weekends, very laborous and time taking process of ordering chemical reagents, admin system is not transparent

Diverse and Competitive
Student (Current Employee) - Vellore, Tamil Nadu - May 17, 2023
I found VIT to be a freat school for undergrad as it offered lots of opportunities whether it be for personal or professional growth. Pros You'll get to meet a lot of diverse people which you won't get in a lot of local universities Cons You'll find yourself annoyed with the management decisions a lot of the time

Extremely productive work environment, 24 hour open lab, can work on flexible schedule
Research Associate (Former Employee) - Vellore, Tamil Nadu - February 10, 2022
I had an amazing work experience. My boss allowed a flexible work schedule. Every lab is equipped with hi tech machinary that needs to be booked at least one month in advance. The university also helps for AMC for the machines brought through our project
Pros
Free tea and coffee
Cons
Nothing
