Cool work place, good work life balance

Good place to work with above avg work life balance and avg pay and benefits. Hard disk code base is one of the most matured in industry, opportunity to learn a lot in storage domain.

Hire and fire startups and people

Western digital acquires startups without any business plan or road map. Once acquired, they hardly invest in people or product. The acquired division always runs in a silo. Never integrated with the parent company. The higher management just talks about revenue without addressing what they need to do to get there. After a year, they will sell the product and people to a minor player. And 50 to 60 percent employees are laid off. Make sure you join a company that values you.

Based on the interest, tasks can be challenging. Good work life balance. Enough oppurtunities to climb up the ladder till 10-12 years of experience after which will have to switch to manegerial ladder.

Good company

Great workplace to learn new technologies and Team interaction was good. Learn Python, Selenium and many tools like TestNG, Sikuli, Auoit, Ranorex in depth.

Execution, execution and always execution without innovation

Nothing much is happening in terms of innovation or creativity. Management believes in releasing the product quickly and be the first to market. Quality is compromised on lot of areas.

- Leaves depends on manager, but are usually flexible - You get option of WorkFromHome - High workload. We would need to extend hours in office if work not complete, but flexity to login from home available.

New ideas are nourished to maturity. Open work environment, friendly atmosphere with co-workers, supervisor and even higher management No restriction what so ever in terms of work/life balance
