Very bad experience at Wipro as a fresher.
Project Engineer (Current Employee) - Hyderabad, Telangana - October 18, 2023
Joined Wipro as a fresher and it's been 18 months no project assigned. Very hard to communicate with seniors. They just ignore your messages. Lot of confusion on who to contact. You will not get any salary after 1 year if you are not assigned to any billable project and even if it is their mistake not assigning you to any project. Join any mid size company if you are a fresher.
Pros
You can use their platforms to skill up.
Cons
Lot of communication gap.

Bad experience
Project Engineer (Current Employee) - Kochi - October 2, 2023
18 months in Wipro and still no project assigned as a fresher. After 12 months, I was put on LOP. Even before that salary was low. No growth. Communication with the higher management is also tough.

Work culture depends on which project you're working on, I have worked on a project with full dedication but didn't got any appreciation instead of that they played me on PIP

Time Waste
Project Engineer (Current Employee) - Hyderabad, Telangana - June 9, 2023
No growth, and no opportunities for freshers. It's a complete time waste. Been here almost a year, excelled in every training and assessment, but still got no real opportunity. Trying to get out of here ASAP.

Good to work for such a MNC. Learning lots of things daily and upgrading my skills for the betterment of me and the organization I am working on. Already had a good performance in my training. Among two trainings provided to me, my score was 91% and 96% .
Pros

Wipro is a good company for establishing career but not for growth
Project Engineer (Former Employee) - Bangalore - May 31, 2023
Working in wipro did give me a solid foundation as I was lucky to be a part of a project handling diverse tools and a great work culture. Learning scope is huge. However it comes with certain drawbacks as well, as compensation is curbed by other factors apart from performance. You are forced to learn stuff and give exams which are often dated and might be totally unrelated to your career path, yet that becomes a deciding factor in eligibility for yearly hike. Growth is horribly slow as well and layoffs are a common occurrence for people who are stagnant for quite some time. In simple terms, wipro is a place to learn and leave for better oppurtunities once you are confident
Pros
Work culture and environment. Cafeteria. Security esp for females
Cons
Compensation, Management, Workload
