Productive and computer skills enrichment

They have well structured system in answering calls and troubleshooting them, however technicians are very slow at doing what is required of them. Therefore makes customers very irate when checking on the progress on their logged issues. Team leader weren't well trained and didn't go the extra mile to satisfy employees needs and wants The salary scale did not compensated for the hard work required. The workplace environment is very friendly and competitive

Fair working enviironment esp. amongst colleagues

A typical day at work is all about customer service, reaching targets in terms of mostly closing cases, resolve customer queries whilst on the phone in an Average handling time. Learnt consistency, loyalty, resilience, working under pressure and reaching deadlines on time. Management does embrace diversity, and its culture is simple as all traditions and religions are catered for, promotes honesty, customer services and encourages transparency in all organizational levels. Hardest part of the job is verbally interacting with customers over the phone thus preventing face to face relations The most enjoyable part of the job is resolving customer queries within the standard business Turn Around Time.

A fun place but no growth

Fun workplace however there is limited growth opportunities. WNS is a friendly working environment but I dont see growth even after my probation period. The salary stays the same no incentives

It is a nice place to start gaining work experience

Working at WNS is stressful at times however it does have its up's and down's just like any other workplace. A typical day would require me to assist Telkom customers with any technical assistance they may need on their landlines or ADSL. I have learned a lot of useful things while working for WNS. it also gave me a chance to sharpen my computer skills and gain valuable work experience. The management is very friendly and easy to talk to but at times they seem to over estimate their fellow employees by means of expecting too much. My co-workers are very straightforward so there is nothing worth writing about. The hardest part of the job is definitely the long hours and also the rotation of their shifts. Most enjoyable part of the job is the fact they give you room to grow and develop your skills.

Long hours, awkward shifts, low salary

Typical day at work includes dealing with angry, happy, sad and miserable customers. Dealing with technical related issues such as internet and telephone issues. I've learned a lot in my 10months thus far, learnt to deal with customers on a daily basis. solving their problems as quick and effective as possible.

My everyday job

The first day I've dealt with a difficult customer , it was so frustrating yet i didn't expect it as my day started off well. I tried by all means to gain a positive attitude and to be professional as always never the less its my job to assist the clients irate or not. Customer service is what i do best I've learnt alot especially when it comes to soft skills,working in a team and learning more not forgetting sharing my work knowledge with my co-workers. The most important part of it is going the extra mile when it comes to job in delivering what is expected of me.

Firstly its crazy when ever there is an overflow of case so we will have to kill is, it not easy but we do work hard. I've learnt to put more extra effort in what ever i do especially when i need growth, Management is fine but there is a lack of communication between us and them. Hardest part when we all under pressure to kill the ques because we are the Back Office, There is ana end year function but they made while we have'nt got paid so i did'nt enjoy it , i was broke.

fun and ambitious place

It is a very vibrant place to be at and you learn new things every day the staff trys at all times to accomodate each other the hardest part its working night shift and the allowance doesn't show.I enjoy being here because you meet new people and learn new things every day.

Relaxed environment

Assisting clients with relevant information in reference to their queries e.g International call rates, dialing codes, time differences, international call connections (reverse charged calls), Worldcall Customer Care and Operator Assisted Telecom conferences as well as Worldcall Customer Care back office. I've learnt how to create and bill worldcall vouchers as well as assist client when they experience problems with their calling cards. I've also learnt the various international dialing codes for most of the countries around the world. The most enjoyable part of the job definitely has to be connecting telecom conferences as we get to communicate and assist prominent figures both nationally and internationally.

WNS was a great experience for me as i was exposed to new things like telecommunications and their infrastructure. Technologies that Telkom uses to resolve queries and how internet services providers work

No fun work place at all

I have learned this is one one company that knows how to make people to work hard,no proper communication from management and its certainly not a great work place. No respect of other cultures. The only thing that's positive is seeing my collegues.
