Indeed’s Company Reviews Policy

Employer responses are official representations of their company. They can add context to reviews or Q&A content. Here are a few tips for responding to reviews, questions or answers:

  • Be timely and professional. If you decide to respond, do so in a timely manner. Always be professional, as your responses are visible to everyone.
  • Keep things positive. Thank the reviewer for sharing their experience.
  • Do not respond to combative reviewers. Avoid engaging with hostile or aggressive reviews.
  • Do not disclose personal information. Do not try to figure out who the author is. Reviews and Q&A content are anonymous.
  • Do not threaten legal or other actions. Reviews are not the place to report or start legal action against anyone.
  • Feel free to take individual cases offline. Include company contact details or relevant internal information in your responses if you are open to follow-up.

Who this applies to

This policy applies to employers and companies with Company Pages on Indeed. It outlines ways to respond to Q&A and Company reviews written by current or former employees.

What you need to know

Employer responses to reviews, questions and answers can address concerns. They can also make things more open and clear for everyone who's reviewing now or in the future. Reviewers can write new reviews if their opinions change. Keep this in mind when clearing up misunderstandings.

Next steps

Employer responses are posted shortly after submission. Indeed’s Trust & Safety team will review the response if someone reports it. We reserve the right to remove or not post your response if it violates any of the above guidelines.
