1. Position Details

• Designation: QC Engineer - Civil
• Department: Project / Construction

2. Key Responsibilities

The QC Engineer will be responsible for monitoring and controlling the quality of Civil, Mechanical and Electrical works at site, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, QAP/ITP,FQP etc.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Preparation/review of Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), checklists and quality documentation.
• Inspection of incoming materials and verification of MTCs/test certificates.
• Monitoring of civil construction activities including excavation, PCC/RCC, reinforcement, shuttering, grouting, foundations and structural works.
• Inspection of mechanical erection, equipment installation, welding, alignment, piping and associated works.
• Inspection of electrical installation activities including cable laying, termination, earthing, panels and associated works.
• Coordination with contractors, vendors, consultants and client/NTPC representatives for inspection and clearance.
• Raising and closing inspection requests, NCRs, observations and punch points.
• Monitoring site activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Maintaining inspection records, test reports, quality dossiers and documentation.
• Coordinating with third-party laboratories/agencies for required testing.
• Supporting client/consultant inspections and audits.
• Ensuring proper documentation and traceability of quality records.
• Reporting quality issues and recommending corrective/preventive actions.
• Vendor/Fabrication Facility Inspection
• Review and witness vendor's in-process inspections, testing, NDT, dimensional checks, performance tests and final inspection activities, as applicable

3. Candidate Requirements

• Educational Qualification: Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Civil, or Mechanical
• Experience: Preferably 5–6 years of relevant EPC/project-site QA/QC experience.
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of inspection procedures, ITP, QAP, method statements, checklists, NCR/CAR, material inspection and quality documentation.
• Domain Knowledge: EPC, process plants, refinery, hydrogen, gasification, chemical, power or industrial projects preferred.
• Soft Skills: Good communication, coordination, documentation, problem-solving and ability to independently manage site quality activities.
• Candidate should be comfortable coordinating with client/consultant/NTPC, contractors and vendors.
• Travel: Occasional travel may be required for vendor inspections/meetings

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
