Job Title: IT Support Specialist / Desktop Support Engineer (L1/L2) Location: Madurai, Tamil Nadu (ELCOT IT Park / On-site / Hybrid) Salary: ₹3,50,000 – ₹5,00,000 per annum + Shift Allowances Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Work Schedule: Rotational Shifts / 24x7 Operations (5 Days Working) ​Role Overview We are looking for an IT Support Specialist with a strong systems and technical background to manage day-to-day enterprise IT operations. You will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, network, and system access issues for internal employees and client endpoints, ensuring minimal downtime and strict SLA compliance. ​Key Responsibilities ​End-User Computing (EUC): Install, configure, deploy, and troubleshoot Windows (10/11), macOS, and Linux workstations, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices. ​Identity & Access Management: Manage user accounts, password resets, groups, and permissions via Active Directory (AD), Azure AD / Microsoft Entra ID, and Google Workspace. ​Ticketing & SLA Adherence: Handle Level 1 and Level 2 incidents, service requests, and technical escalations via ITSM tools (Jira Service Management, ServiceNow, Freshservice). ​Networking & Infrastructure: Diagnose basic network connectivity issues, including LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi configuration, VPN setup, DNS, DHCP, and VoIP telephony. ​Software Deployment & Patching: Support application rollout, OS imaging (WDS, SCCM, MDM tools like Intune), and antivirus/endpoint security monitoring. ​Asset & Hardware Management: Maintain IT inventory, manage asset allocation/de-allocation, perform preventative maintenance, and coordinate vendor warranty replacements. ​Requirements & Qualifications ​Age: Below 28 years. ​Education: Bachelor’s degree in a systems/technical discipline (B.E./B.Tech in CS/IT/ECE, B.Sc Computer Science/IT, BCA, or Diploma in IT/Computer Hardware & Networking). ​Experience: 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in IT Helpdesk, Desktop Support, or System Administration. ​Technical Competencies: ​Solid understanding of OS architecture (Windows/Linux), hardware assembly, and BIOS configurations. ​Hands-on familiarity with Active Directory, Microsoft 365 administration, and remote desktop tools (AnyDesk, TeamViewer, RDP). ​Fundamental grasp of TCP/IP networking, subnetting, and firewall basics. ​Certifications (Preferred): CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, or CCNA. ​Communication & Availability: Strong technical English communication skills and flexibility to work in rotational/US shifts. ​Perks & Benefits ​Fixed annual CTC aligned with skill level and technical certifications. ​Shift and weekend allowances. ​Group medical and accident insurance. ​Corporate transport / cab facility (within city limits for night shifts).
