Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Position: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Ghaziabad

Reporting To: Maintenance in charge
Salary: ₹30,000 – ₹45,000 per month
Experience Required: 5–8 Years (Manufacturing Industry Preferred)

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled mechanical maintenance engineer to oversee mechanical maintenance activities in our manufacturing facility. The candidate should possess hands-on expertise in mechanical equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair, ensuring smooth operation of machinery, reduced downtime, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Preventive & Corrective Maintenance

• Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules for plant machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot machine breakdowns and carry out corrective maintenance activities promptly.
• Maintain maintenance records, equipment history, and spare parts inventory.
• Ensure minimum machine downtime and maximum equipment availability.

Mechanical Maintenance

• Maintain and repair motors, pumps, compressors, conveyors, gearboxes, bearing assemblies, and other mechanical equipment.
• Perform machine inspections and alignment checks and identify potential maintenance issues.
• Assist in machine installation, commissioning, alignment, and modification activities.
• Handle vibration analysis, lubrication schedules, and wear-and-tear assessments.

Team Coordination

• Coordinate with production teams to ensure smooth plant operations.
• Guide and mentor technicians during maintenance and breakdown activities.
• Ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks and proper documentation.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow company safety procedures and maintenance standards religiously.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and maintenance practices within the department.
• Support implementation of 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Expert knowledge of mechanical maintenance principles and practices.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage breakdown situations effectively.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance best practices.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Familiarity with maintenance management systems/tools.

Qualifications

• Diploma / B.Tech / BE in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• 5–8 years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in preventive and breakdown maintenance is preferred.
