About the Role

We are looking for a politically aware and research-oriented Political Media & Content Executive who has a strong understanding of Indian politics, current affairs and the evolving news cycle.

The person will work closely with a political leader to track important developments, research issues, identify relevant news angles and turn them into compelling digital content.

This is a hands-on role involving political research, commentary writing, content planning, scripting, briefing, social media coordination and media execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Track daily developments across Indian politics, governance, Parliament, elections, policies and major public issues.
• Identify important and emerging stories that have potential for political commentary and digital content.
• Conduct in-depth research and fact-checking using credible news sources, official documents, statements, reports and data.
• Develop clear and relevant political angles and narratives around current issues.
• Write scripts and talking points for short-form videos, reels, interviews and other digital content.
• Prepare concise briefs for the political leader, including key facts, context, arguments and important points to highlight.
• Discuss and explain the prepared content with the leader before recording.
• Track breaking news and trending conversations and quickly suggest content opportunities.
• Work with the creative/video team on the execution of content.
• Recommend the appropriate format for a story — reel, video, carousel, static post, X post, statement, etc.
• Coordinate with the social media team for publishing, captions, headlines, thumbnails and platform-specific content.
• Coordinate with the PR/media team wherever a digital post needs wider media amplification.
• Maintain an organised workflow from research → content idea → script → briefing → production → publishing → amplification.
• Keep track of political narratives and conversations across news platforms and social media.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should:

• Have strong knowledge of Indian politics and current affairs
• Be naturally curious and capable of deep research
• Understand how news develops and how to identify a strong news angle
• Be able to distinguish facts from opinions and verify information before using it
• Have strong Hindi and English writing and communication skills
• Be comfortable writing political commentary and video scripts
• Be confident in verbally explaining and presenting research/talking points
• Understand social media platforms and digital content formats
• Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where topics can change quickly

The Right Candidate

We are looking for someone who can follow the news, understand the story behind the news and turn that understanding into meaningful content.

The candidate should be able to independently take a developing political issue, research it from multiple sources, understand its wider context, develop a strong angle and prepare content that can be effectively communicated through digital platforms.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
