Job Title: Film Editor

Location: Bangalore – Onsite

Position Type: Full-time

Experience: 2-4 years (Required)

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with directors, producers, and other stakeholders to understand project objectives, creative vision, and technical requirements for film projects, including corporate films, brand films, and advertising films.
  • Review raw footage and select the best shots to create a cohesive and engaging narrative that aligns with the project vision and client objectives.
  • Edit film footage using industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro), applying creative techniques such as cutting, trimming, and sequencing to enhance storytelling and visual impact.
  • Incorporate visual effects, transitions, and sound design elements to elevate the quality and production value of the final film.
  • Collaborate with directors and producers during the post-production process, providing creative input, feedback, and suggestions to enhance the overall quality of the film.
  • Manage project timelines, deadlines, and deliverables, ensuring that editing tasks are completed efficiently and effectively within established timeframes and budget constraints.
  • Communicate regularly with the production team and other stakeholders to provide updates on editing progress, address feedback and revisions, and ensure alignment with project goals and client expectations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in film editing, incorporating innovative techniques and approaches into editing workflows to optimize efficiency and creativity.
  • Maintain organized file management and documentation of editing projects, including version control, project assets, and production notes.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years experience in film editing
  • Proven experience as a film editor or video editor with a strong portfolio showcasing edited films, including corporate films, brand films, advertising films, or similar projects.
  • Proficiency in film editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Avid Media Composer, with demonstrated expertise in editing techniques, tools, and workflows.
  • Strong storytelling skills with the ability to craft engaging narratives, evoke emotion, and capture audience attention through effective editing choices.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to identify and select the best shots, transitions, and visual effects to enhance the overall quality and impact of the film.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, communicate effectively with directors, producers, and other stakeholders, and incorporate feedback into editing revisions and iterations.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Video Editing, Media Studies, or a related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard editing techniques, terminology, and best practices in film editing and post-production.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with visual effects software such as Adobe After Effects or DaVinci Resolve Fusion.
  • Knowledge of color grading techniques and color correction processes.
  • Familiarity with sound design principles and audio editing software.
  • Previous experience working in a creative agency, production company, or film studio.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
