Lead QA Automation Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design, prioritize, and implement robust test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures for software projects.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the QA team, overseeing the implementation of integration test cases throughout the project lifecycle.
• Demonstrate expertise in test planning, test design, test strategy, test automation, and test execution.
• Utilize advanced testing and debugging methodologies, ensuring the quality and reliability of software products.
• Lead hands-on experience using Cucumber & BDD Frameworks for effective test case development.
• Collaborate with internal teams to diagnose and promptly resolve test-related issues, fostering a collaborative working environment.
• Analyze, interpret, and effectively communicate qualitative and quantitative findings from tests to key stakeholders.
• Monitor bug resolution efforts, track results, and manage known defects efficiently.
• Actively participate in process reviews to contribute to product development and the resolution of defects.
• Contribute to the entire SDLC lifecycle, from inception and design to deployment, operation, and refinement.
• Report issues discovered through manual and automated testing, ensuring thorough tracking and closure.
• Collaborate with the development team for bug fix verification and validation.
• Lead participation in release planning processes, reviewing functional specifications, and creating release plans.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering or Computer Applications.
• Proficient in Java, Selenium; extensive experience with test management frameworks and tools (e.g., JMeter, Postman).
• Strong expertise in SQL, capable of writing medium and complex SQL queries.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with acute attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills (listening, writing, and speaking).
• Experience in security testing, performance testing, and proficiency in performance tuning tools is a plus.

Desirable Attributes:

• Proven leadership experience, demonstrating the ability to lead and train a dynamic team of colleagues involved in testing processes.
• Capability to develop and organize QA processes for assigned projects, aligning them with overall QA goals.
• Expertise in testing and automating APIs using tools such as Postman, JAVA/Rest Assured.
• Experience in security testing, performance testing, and proficiency in performance tuning tools is a plus.
