Job Title: RF and Microwave Engineer – Fusion Technology
Overview
Pranos Fusion Pvt Ltd is seeking a skilled RF and Microwave Engineer to join our innovative team dedicated to advancing magnetic confinement fusion technology. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in radio frequency (RF) and microwave engineering, with specific experience in the design, analysis, and implementation of systems used for plasma heating in fusion devices. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge fusion energy research and development.
Responsibilities
50% RF and Microwave System Design & Analysis
- Design and optimize RF and microwave systems for plasma heating applications in fusion reactors.
- Conduct simulations and analyses to assess and enhance system performance.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate RF systems seamlessly into the overall reactor architecture.
30% Instrumentation & Control Systems
- Develop and implement instrumentation systems for monitoring and controlling RF and microwave components.
- Design and maintain control systems to ensure precise operation of RF equipment.
- Integrate sensors and diagnostic tools to monitor system performance and ensure safety protocols.
15% Research & Development
- Stay abreast of advancements in fusion technology and RF/microwave system design.
- Contribute to the development of innovative solutions to enhance plasma heating efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive research initiatives and project development.
5% Documentation & Communication
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, test procedures, and analysis reports.
- Present findings and project updates to internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, followed by a Master’s degree in a related field (e.g., RF Engineering, Microwave Engineering) or equivalent industry experience.
- Proven experience in the design and analysis of RF and microwave systems for plasma heating applications.
- Strong understanding of RF and microwave principles and their practical applications in fusion technology.
- Experience with instrumentation and control systems, including sensor integration and data acquisition.
- Proficiency in simulation and modeling software relevant to RF and microwave systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Willingness to work on-site in Bangalore.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with high-power RF and microwave systems.
- Familiarity with plasma diagnostics and related instrumentation.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory standards pertinent to fusion reactor operations.
