Position: Mall Manager
Location: Broadway Mall, Coimbatore
Reporting To: Management

Job Purpose

The Mall Manager will be responsible for the overall operation, administration, customer experience, safety, facility management, tenant coordination, and commercial performance of the mall. The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, vendor management, and coordination skills to ensure smooth day-to-day mall operations.

Key Responsibilities1. Mall Operations

• Manage the complete day-to-day operations of the mall.
• Ensure all departments and facilities function smoothly.
• Monitor opening and closing procedures of the mall.
• Conduct regular inspections of common areas, washrooms, parking, food court, entrances, and other facilities.
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and customer service.

2. Tenant Management

• Coordinate with tenants, retailers, restaurants, and service providers.
• Address tenant operational issues and customer-related concerns.
• Monitor tenant compliance with mall rules, operating standards, and safety requirements.
• Maintain good professional relationships with all tenants.
• Coordinate for store openings, closures, promotional activities, and special events.

3. Facility & Maintenance Management

• Supervise housekeeping, security, MEP, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other facility services.
• Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance.
• Ensure all equipment and infrastructure are maintained properly.
• Follow up with vendors and contractors for timely completion of maintenance work.

4. Security & Safety

• Ensure effective security arrangements throughout the mall.
• Monitor CCTV, access control, fire safety, emergency exits, and evacuation systems.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and emergency preparedness checks.
• Coordinate with security agencies, fire department, police, and other authorities when required.
• Ensure compliance with applicable statutory and safety requirements.

5. Customer Experience

• Ensure excellent customer service across the mall.
• Handle escalated customer complaints and resolve issues promptly.
• Monitor customer feedback and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain a safe, clean, attractive, and welcoming environment.

6. Vendor Management

• Manage housekeeping, security, maintenance, pest control, waste management, landscaping, and other service vendors.
• Monitor vendor performance and manpower deployment.
• Verify service quality and compliance with agreed standards.
• Review vendor bills and service reports before submitting for approval.

7. Events & Marketing Coordination

• Coordinate mall events, promotions, exhibitions, festivals, and promotional activities.
• Work with the marketing team and tenants to increase customer footfall.
• Ensure proper arrangements for events, including security, housekeeping, electrical, parking, and crowd management.

8. Parking Management

• Monitor parking operations and traffic movement.
• Ensure proper vehicle entry, exit, parking discipline, and security.
• Address parking-related customer complaints and operational issues.

9. Administration & Reporting

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly mall operation reports.
• Monitor operational expenses and control unnecessary costs.
• Maintain records of incidents, maintenance, complaints, vendor performance, and inspections.
• Ensure proper documentation and compliance with company procedures.

10. Team Management

• Lead and supervise mall operations teams.
• Allocate duties and monitor employee performance.
• Conduct regular meetings and briefings.
• Identify training requirements and improve team productivity.
• Ensure discipline, grooming, attendance, and professional conduct.

Educational Qualification

Any Graduate preferred. MBA / PG qualification in Management, Retail, Hospitality, Facility Management, or related fields will be an advantage.

Experience

5–15 years of relevant experience in mall management, retail operations, commercial property management, hospitality, or facility management.
