Full job description

PSGR Krishnammal College for Women, a premier institution committed to excellence in higher education, invites applications from dynamic, result-oriented, and experienced HR professionals for the position of Assistant Manager – Human Resources.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes for Teaching and Non-Teaching staff.
  • Coordinating employee lifecycle activities including confirmations, promotions, transfers, and separations.
  • Maintaining HR records, employee database, personal files, and statutory documentation.
  • Administering attendance, leave management, shift scheduling, and employee welfare initiatives.
  • Supporting performance management, KRA implementation, annual reviews, and employee engagement programs.
  • Ensuring compliance with labour laws, institutional policies, and statutory requirements.
  • Coordinating training and development programs for faculty and staff.
  • Assisting in policy formulation, HR process improvements, and ERP/HRMS implementation.
  • Preparing HR reports, analytics, MIS, and management dashboards.
  • Handling employee grievance management and disciplinary procedures in accordance with institutional policies.
  • Liaising with various departments and stakeholders for smooth HR operations.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • MBA / MSW (HR) / PG Degree in Human Resource Management from a recognized institution.

Experience

  • Minimum 5–8 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in Educational Institutions, Universities or Large Service Organizations.
  • Experience in recruitment, employee relations, statutory compliance, performance management, and HR operations is essential.

Desired Competencies

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent drafting and documentation abilities.
  • Sound knowledge of Labour Laws, HR Policies, and Statutory Compliance.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, ERP/HRMS systems, and HR analytics.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professional ethics.

Compensation

Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and institutional norms.
