Full job description
We are looking for an experienced Freight Broker to manage freight operations by coordinating with shippers and carriers. The role involves negotiating rates, tracking shipments, and ensuring on-time delivery while maintaining strong customer and carrier relationships.
Responsibilities
- Source and manage carriers for US domestic freight
- Negotiate freight rates and close loads
- Coordinate shipments from pickup to delivery
- Track loads and provide real-time updates to clients
- Resolve shipment delays, issues, and claims
- Maintain accurate records using TMS systems
- Meet monthly sales and margin targets
Requirements
- 1+ year experience as a Freight Broker or in freight logistics
- Strong knowledge of US freight operations (Dry Van / Reefer / Flatbed)
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Experience working in US shifts
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Existing carrier or shipper network
- Experience with TMS tools and CRM systems
- Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations
