Job Title: Senior Career Counsellor – UK Higher Education

We are seeking an experienced and student-focused Senior Career Counsellor to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the UK higher education sector and a proven track record of successfully counselling and enrolling students into undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
Key ResponsibilitiesStudent Counselling & Career Guidance
- Conduct detailed consultations with prospective students via phone, email, and video calls.
- Assess students' academic backgrounds, professional experience, career aspirations, and eligibility for various programmes.
- Provide tailored guidance on suitable undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional qualification pathways.
- Advise mature students and working professionals on career progression, career transitions, and upskilling opportunities through higher education.
- Support students in making informed decisions regarding courses, universities, and future career prospects.
Admissions & Application Management
- Guide students through the complete admissions process from enquiry to enrolment.
- Assist with application preparation, document collection, personal statements, and eligibility assessments.
- Ensure applications meet university requirements and are submitted accurately and within deadlines.
- Liaise with admissions teams to track application progress and resolve student queries.
- Support students with offer acceptance, enrolment, and onboarding processes.
Lead Management & Conversion
- Manage enquiries generated through various marketing channels.
- Follow up proactively with prospective students and nurture leads through the admissions funnel.
- Build strong relationships with applicants to maximise enrolment conversions.
- Maintain high standards of student engagement and customer service throughout the student journey.
- Consistently achieve individual and team enrolment targets.
CRM & Compliance
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all student interactions within the CRM system.
- Ensure compliance with university partner requirements and company policies.
- Track student applications and maintain accurate reporting metrics.
- Handle sensitive student information in accordance with data protection requirements.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in UK higher education counselling, student recruitment, or university admissions.
- Strong knowledge of UK undergraduate and postgraduate admissions processes.
- Experience counselling mature students, working professionals, or international students.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and consultative selling skills.
- Proven ability to convert enquiries into enrolled students.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
Preferred Requirements
- Experience working with UK universities, education consultancies, or student recruitment agencies.
- Understanding of student finance, funding options, and admissions requirements within the UK higher education sector.
- Previous experience handling high volumes of student applications and enquiries.
