Job Summary
We are seeking a result-oriented and data-driven E-commerce Marketplace Manager specializing in Flipkart. The candidate will be completely responsible for executing growth strategies, handling account health, optimizing advertising budgets, and managing day-to-day storefront operations to scale revenue and build a sustainable brand presence on Flipkart.
Key Responsibilities
Growth & Performance Advertising
· Ad Campaign Management: Plan, launch, and optimize Flipkart Ads—including Product Listing Advertisements (PLA) and Smart ROI/Sponsored Campaigns.
· Budget Optimization: Drive advertising profitability by continuously improving Return on Ad Spend (ROAS), Click-Through Rates (CTR), and Cost Per Acquisition (CPA).
· Event Participation: Strategize and manage major Flipkart shopping events such as the Big Billion Days, festive sales, and site-wide deal promotions.
Cataloging & Organic SEO
· Listing Optimization: Create and manage detailed product listings, including search-optimized titles, high-quality images, comprehensive technical bullet points, and accurate attribute categorization.
· Organic Search Rankings: Conduct extensive keyword research to boost search-term visibility and index listings against relevant customer searches.
· A+ Content & Rich Media: Coordinate the deployment of engaging descriptions, product layout graphics, and explanatory videos to drive higher conversion rates.
Inventory & Operations Management
· Stock Forecasting: Track daily sales velocity to coordinate stock replenishment with warehouses, avoiding out-of-stock scenarios on high-volume SKUs.
· Order Fulfillment: Monitor order processing parameters, dispatch schedules, and logistics compliance via regional sorting centers.
· Account Health & Compliance: Monitor critical performance parameters like seller ratings, dispatch SLAs, customer reviews, and order cancellation rates to prevent account penalties.
Data Analytics & Reporting
· Performance MIS: Utilize advanced Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and Flipkart dashboards to compile weekly and monthly revenue summaries.
· Competitive Analysis: Benchmark category pricing, discount tiers, and product assortments against top market competitors. Experience & Qualifications
· Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Data Analytics, or a closely related field (MBA is a strong plus).
· Experience: Minimum 2–5 years of dedicated hands-on experience scaling marketplace sales specifically on the Flipkart platform.
· Core Technical Skills:
o Expert proficiency with the Flipkart Seller Hub control panels.
o Deep understanding of marketplace algorithms and promotional levers.
o High competency in MS Excel / Google Sheets for handling bulk listing uploads and database filtering.
· Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication skills to successfully collaborate with cross-functional warehouse teams, branding teams, and external Flipkart category managers.
Trade-offs & Expectations in this Role
· If you prioritize Organic SEO & Catalog Accuracy: You will establish long-term listing equity and strong structural margins, but sales velocity might scale slower than aggressive paid marketing pushes.
· If you prioritize Paid Advertising & Performance Marketing: You will experience rapid spikes in traffic and immediate transaction volumes, but you risk compressing net contribution margins if ad spend (ROAS) is not monitored strictly on a daily level.
