Job Summary:
The role is responsible for leading end‑to‑end manufacturing operations with a strong ownership of New Product Development (NPD) from concept to mass production. The position ensures seamless collaboration between NPD, engineering, quality, supply chain, and production teams to enable rapid, cost‑effective, and high‑quality product industrialization. The role includes building greenfield capabilities, scaling operations, and driving operational excellence across CNC machining, press, surface finishing, and assembly.
Key Responsibilities:
1. NPD & Industrialization Leadership
- Drive manufacturing readiness from prototype to mass production
- Ensure DFM/DFA/DFX alignment with design, R&D, and customers
- Define processes, PFMEA, tooling, and capacity for NPD programs
- Deliver NPD targets on cost, quality, timeline, and ramp‑up
- Manage risks, validation, and seamless production handover
2. Manufacturing Operations
- Lead CNC, press, surface finishing, assembly, and tool room operations
- Achieve production targets across safety, quality, delivery, and cost
- Drive Lean, Six Sigma, OEE improvement, and waste reduction
- Ensure strong documentation, traceability, and compliance
3. Strategic & Greenfield Development
- Build and scale greenfield manufacturing operations
- Align manufacturing strategy with business and NPD needs
- Plan capacity, layout, automation, and technology roadmap
- Execute CAPEX for expansion and new programs
4. Quality, Cost & Performance
- Drive zero‑defect culture through root cause and corrective actions
- Manage budgets, cost per part, and productivity improvements
- Track KPIs for NPD, efficiency, and quality performance
5. Leadership & Talent
- Build and develop high‑performing manufacturing and NPD teams
- Strengthen skills in problem solving and process engineering
- Drive cross‑functional collaboration across teams
6. Stakeholder & Change Management
- Interface with customers during NPD and production ramp‑up
- Manage change in high‑mix, fast‑paced environments
- Drive innovation, digital manufacturing, and continuous improvement
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong experience in NPD‑led manufacturing and high‑precision component production
- Deep knowledge of CNC machining, press operations, surface finishing, and assembly
- Expertise in DFM/DFA, process validation, Lean, Six Sigma, and industrial engineering
- Proven leadership in greenfield setup, scaling operations, and team building
- Strong project management, decision‑making, and problem‑solving capabilities
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Master’s preferred)
- 18–25+ years of experience in manufacturing with significant NPD exposure
- Experience in electronics, consumer products, automotive, aerospace, or precision engineering preferred
