Designation: Process Engineer

Location: Mahape, Navi Mumbai

Job Description

1. Process Optimization

• Operate and monitor utility systems such as chillers, boilers, and vacuum pumps
• Optimize reaction conditions, raw material consumption, and utility usage
• Improve performance of mixing, heat transfer, distillation, crystallization, and filtration processes.

2. Troubleshooting & Technical Support

• Diagnose and resolve batch failures, process deviations, and equipment bottlenecks
• Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions
• Work with production, quality, and safety teams to stabilize new processes.

3. Process Development & Scale-Up

• Handle multiple reactors and process equipment including distillation systems, pumps, valves, filters, ANFD, and scrubber systems
• Conduct pilot plant trials and scale-up from lab to commercial production
• Translate lab-scale or kilo-lab processes to commercial scale with minimal deviations
• Perform mass & energy balance calculations and equipment sizing
• Prepare PFDs, equipment lists, plant layouts, and P&IDs
• Experience with hydrogenation, ethylene oxide reactions, catalyst handling, and high-pressure reactor operations.

4. Desired Experience

• 3–10 years’ experience in specialty chemicals, agrochemicals, or pharma intermediates
• Exposure to pilot plant operations, GLRs, SS reactors, distillation columns, vacuum systems, and plant trials
• Hands-on experience in process troubleshooting and scale-up.

6. Educational Qualifications

• Diploma in Chemical Engineering with 3–15 years’ experience in specialty chemicals / pharma / agrochemical intermediates / dyes / pigments / flavour chemicals.

OR

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering (Full-time from reputed institutes such as (ICT Mumbai, Mumbai University, Pune University, or NIT) with 3 to 10 yrs experience in specialty chemicals/pharma intermediates/agrochemical intermediates/ dyes/pigment intermediates/ flavouring agent etc.
