Role Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and customer-focused Senior Interior Designer to lead residential design projects end-to-end at HomeLane. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of customers — from the first consultation to order booking and final design execution — ensuring exceptional design solutions that are functional, aesthetic, and within budget.
In this role, you will also mentor and manage a Design Associate, guiding them in design development, documentation, and project coordination to ensure high-quality project delivery.
This role demands creativity, technical expertise, strong site knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
● Lead and manage a set of HomeLane customers from initial meeting through design f inalization and order booking.
● Understand client requirements and translate them into innovative, practical, and aesthetically appealing design solutions.
● Provide accurate quotations, detailed design concepts, and production-ready drawings for manufacturing.
● Ensure designs are installation-friendly with minimal site challenges.
● Manage and prioritize multiple design projects effectively.
● Coordinate with internal teams (production, operations, and installation) for seamless project execution.
● Present, explain, and confidently defend design concepts and pricing to clients.
● Guide and manage a Design Associate by reviewing their work, supporting design development, and ensuring timely project deliverables.
Required Expertise & Qualifications
● Minimum 4+ year Diploma / Degree in Interior Designing or Architecture from a reputed institution.
● Mandatory site experience with strong practical knowledge of installation feasibility.
● Proven experience in residential interior projects.
● Proficiency in Google SketchUp (mandatory).
● Strong understanding of space planning, modular furniture, materials, and execution processes.
● Highly customer-centric approach with the ability to balance functionality, aesthetics, and budget.
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
● Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of the local language is an added advantage.
