Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Safety Supervisor to oversee and ensure safe transportation and logistics operations. The role involves implementing safety policies, minimizing risks, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.

Core Responsibilities:

Safety Compliance & Regulations

  • Ensure adherence to government and industry safety standards.
  • Implement and enforce company safety policies and procedures.

Road Transport Safety

  • Monitor fleet safety, driver logs, and vehicle fitness.
  • Ensure compliance with traffic laws and transport permits.

Risk Assessment

  • Identify hazards in operations (vehicle movement, driver fatigue).
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections.

Logistics & Warehousing

  • Ensure safe loading/unloading and proper material handling practices.

Training & Awareness

  • Train drivers, operators, and staff on safety procedures.
  • Conduct toolbox talks and emergency drills.

Incident Investigation

  • Investigate accidents, near-misses, and safety violations.
  • Prepare reports and recommend corrective and preventive actions.

Monitoring Operations

  • Ensure vehicles are well-maintained and safe for operation.
  • Monitor driver behavior (speeding, fatigue, and compliance).

Chemical Safety Management

  • Ensure safe handling, storage, and disposal of paints, solvents, and chemicals.
  • Monitor the use of PPE (respirators, gloves, and goggles).
  • Maintain and review Safety Data Sheets (SDS/MSDS).

Fire & Explosion Safety

  • Implement fire prevention systems due to flammable materials.
  • Conduct regular checks of fire extinguishers, hydrants, and alarm systems.
  • Ensure compliance with guidelines similar to National Fire Protection Association practices.

Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations.
  • Excellent observation and risk assessment skills.
  • Effective communication and leadership abilities.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • High attention to detail.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

  • Experience in the transportation and logistics industry.
  • Hands-on experience in safety audits and compliance.
  • Ability to handle field operations and emergency situations.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
