Role Overview

The Deputy Head – Homes & Value Education will support the effective administration and functioning of residential homes while ensuring the holistic development, welfare, discipline, and value-based education of students. The role requires strong leadership, administrative capabilities, and a compassionate approach towards child development and student engagement.

The incumbent will work closely with the Head of Homes, wardens, teachers, caretakers, and other stakeholders to maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing residential environment aligned with the organization’s values and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations and administration of residential homes.
  • Ensure the welfare, safety, discipline, and overall well-being of students residing in the homes.
  • Support the implementation of value education initiatives focused on ethics, character building, leadership, and life skills.
  • Monitor student behaviour, attendance, routines, and personal development.
  • Coordinate with wardens, caretakers, academic teams, and support staff to ensure smooth functioning of the homes.
  • Conduct regular mentoring, counseling, and guidance sessions for students.
  • Facilitate cultural programs, awareness sessions, extracurricular activities, and student engagement initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to hygiene, cleanliness, safety, and maintenance standards within the residential facilities.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to student welfare and home administration.
  • Address student and parent concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Support policy implementation and continuous improvement initiatives related to homes and value education.
  • Promote a positive, disciplined, and value-driven environment for students and staff.
