Job Summary:
Responsible for design, implementation, and refinement of anodizing surface treatment processes to ensure that products are produced efficiently, cost-effectively, and within quality standards across ATP Business Unit.
Responsibilities:
· Lead the process development of precision engineered products involving anodizing surface treatment.
· Drive standardization of anodizing surface treatment processes by creation or adaption of industry best practices.
· Ensure process stability (Cpk >1.67) and high yield rate (>90%) is achieved during handover to Operations.
· Collaborate with anodizing SMEs for special projects and to enhance the capabilities within the team.
· Take the lead in analysing anodizing process related defects along with CFT and provide sustainable solutions to resolve the issues permanently.
· Ensure process cost optimization projects specifically targeted towards consumables, equipment cycle time are planned and executed.
· Provide critical inputs for Automation and Digital transformation for anodizing processes.
· Mentor and develop a diversely skilled surface treatment-anodizing engineering team with focus on creating process technical expertise.
· Build a culture of performance, compliance, employee engagement and ethical leadership.
Qualifications:
· BE – Chemical (Preference), BSc/MSc in Chemistry.
· Experience - 18 Years and above
· Preferred experience: EMS industry, Aerospace industry, Automotive industry, Any precision manufacturing industry.
Skills:
· New Product Introduction (NPI).
· Manufacturing process yield achievement, sustenance and continuous improvement.
· Expertise in cosmetic anodizing process sequence- Chemical polishing, electrolyte anodizing, dyeing, sealing etc.
· Knowledge of chemistry used in cleaning, pretreatment and anodizing process of aluminium and titanium for cosmetic finishes.
· Anodizing process automation, Industry 4.0.
· Process costing, capacity planning, manufacturing equipment & utilities selection based on technology and Capital ROI analysis.
