Full job description
We are looking for an experienced General Manager to lead and grow our Essential Oils business. This is a leadership role focused primarily on sales growth, revenue ownership, profitability, and full P&L management.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in selling essential oils, aroma products, natural ingredients, fragrances, wellness products, or related FMCG/B2B products. The role requires someone who can drive business development, manage key customers, build distribution channels, improve margins, and take complete ownership of business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage the complete P&L for the essential oils business.
- Drive revenue growth through B2B, B2C, distributor, retail, export, institutional, and online sales channels.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
- Identify new customers, distributors, retailers, wholesalers, exporters, wellness brands, cosmetic manufacturers, and aromatherapy businesses.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and channel partners.
- Improve product pricing, margins, profitability, and overall business efficiency.
- Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, customer demand, and new product opportunities.
- Work closely with production, procurement, packaging, logistics, and finance teams to ensure smooth business operations.
- Manage inventory planning, sales forecasting, and demand planning.
- Lead, train, and manage the sales team to improve performance and accountability.
- Create strategies for product positioning, brand growth, repeat sales, and customer retention.
- Track business performance through reports, sales dashboards, profitability analysis, and MIS.
- Ensure timely collections, credit control, and healthy cash flow.
- Explore new business opportunities in domestic and international markets.
Mandatory Requirements
- Strong experience in sales and business management.
- Proven ability to manage P&L, revenue targets, margins, and profitability.
- Experience in essential oils, fragrances, cosmetics, wellness, FMCG, natural ingredients, aromatherapy, or related industries is highly preferred.
- Ability to independently generate business and close high-value deals.
- Strong understanding of distribution, B2B sales, channel sales, and key account management.
- Good leadership, negotiation, commercial, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working with targets, reports, pricing, margins, and business planning.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or general management.
- Prior experience in essential oils, aromatherapy, wellness, cosmetics, personal care, natural ingredients, or fragrance products.
- Experience handling distributors, institutional customers, wholesalers, retailers, or export clients.
- Strong commercial mindset with ownership of revenue and profit.
- Ability to build a business from strategy to execution.
- Entrepreneurial attitude with strong accountability.
