Full job description
We are hiring a Purchase Officer with 1-4 years of experience to manage material procurement, follow-ups, Bill of Materials (BOM), and stock maintenance for our manufacturing operations. The role ensures timely ordering, vendor coordination, inventory tracking, and cost-effective supply to support uninterrupted production.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and order raw materials, components, and supplies based on production schedules and BOM requirements.
- Follow up with vendors on order status, deliveries, and resolve delays or shortages promptly.
- Prepare and maintain accurate BOMs, coordinating with engineering and production teams for updates.
- Verify invoices, process payments, and ensure all purchases align with budgets and quality standards.
- Track inventory levels, forecast material needs, and minimize stockouts or excess inventory.
- Maintain detailed records of stock in and out movements, updating inventory ledgers daily for accurate stock levels.
- Monitor stock receipts, issues, and balances to ensure real-time visibility of material availability.
- Purchase materials directly from internal stores when required for urgent production needs.
- Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with suppliers to optimize costs.
- Maintain vendor database, documentation, and reports for audits and compliance.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain, Commerce, or related field.
- 1-4 years in manufacturing procurement, material follow-up, BOM management, and stock maintenance.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, inventory tracking tools, and manufacturing processes.
- Strong negotiation, communication, organizational, and record-keeping skills.
- Knowledge of safety and quality standards in material handling.
