We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee fabrication and manufacturing operations. The candidate will be responsible for production planning, manpower management, quality control, safety compliance, and achieving production targets while maintaining cost efficiency and product quality.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Management
- Plan, organize, and monitor daily fabrication activities.
- Ensure achievement of production targets as per schedule.
- Optimize machine utilization and manpower productivity.
- Monitor fabrication processes including cutting, welding, machining, fitting, and assembly.
Planning & Coordination
- Coordinate with design, procurement, quality, and maintenance departments.
- Prepare production schedules based on customer requirements.
- Ensure timely availability of raw materials and consumables.
Quality Control
- Ensure products meet quality standards and customer specifications.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions for quality issues.
- Maintain documentation related to production and inspections.
Team Management
- Supervise shop floor employees, supervisors, and operators.
- Conduct training programs for safety, quality, and productivity improvement.
- Monitor attendance, discipline, and shift performance.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Promote safe working practices in fabrication and welding areas.
- Conduct regular safety audits and toolbox talks.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and productivity improvement.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing / 5S / Kaizen initiatives.
- Reduce rejection, rework, and production downtime.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering.
- 5–15 years of experience in fabrication or manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of welding, fabrication drawings, and shop floor operations.
- Experience in handling manpower and production planning.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
