Role: Database Engineering Intern

Location: Thane, MAH

Workdays: 5 days

Work time: 9.30 am to 6 pm

Duration: 6 months

* Assist in designing and developing database schemas for various applications.

* Collaborate with senior engineers to implement database features and solutions.

* Work on schema migrations and version control of database structures.

* Help optimize SQL queries for performance and efficiency.

* Assist in analyzing database bottlenecks and propose solutions.

* Monitor and troubleshoot database performance issues.

* Assist in data migration and integration tasks.

* Help maintain data integrity, quality, and security across databases.

* Support the team in creating ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for data pipelines.

* Automate routine database maintenance tasks (backups, monitoring, and health checks).

* Write scripts to support data extraction, manipulation, and reporting.

* Work closely with data analysts and business teams to develop interactive dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau, Power BI, etc.

* Design and implement visually engaging, user-friendly dashboards that provide insights from complex datasets.

* Collaborate in building data pipelines to supply real-time or batch data to dashboards.

* Help optimize and refresh data sources for timely dashboard updates.

* Work with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and translate them into visualizations.

What you’ll need to bring:

* Bachelors or Masters Degree – Engineering / Computer Science / B.Tech / M.Tech / B.ScIT / M.ScIT / BE / ME / BCA / MCA.

* Familiarity with relational databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.

* Strong understanding of SQL (Structured Query Language) and query optimization.

* Strong knowledge of database design and normalization.

* Experience with dashboard development tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Metabase is a plus.

* Familiarity with version control tools like Git.

* Hands-on with scripting languages - preferably Python but bash will also do.

* Hands-on AWS skills, techies with certifications from AWS are particularly encouraged to apply - AWS API Gateway, Lambda, EC2, RDS, SQS, S3, CloudWatch.

* Excellent communication skills.

* Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
