Lab Technician – Biochemistry

Qualification :

  • Diploma / B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) or equivalent
  • Valid registration

Experience : Minimum 1 year experience in a clinical laboratory is mandatory

Salary :Salary based on industry standards and experience

Job Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Perform routine and emergency biochemistry tests as per laboratory protocols.
  • Collect, receive, label, and process patient samples accurately.
  • Operate and maintain biochemistry analyzers and laboratory equipment.
  • Ensure proper calibration and quality control procedures are followed daily.
  • Record and verify test results before reporting to concerned departments.
  • Maintain proper documentation and laboratory records.
  • Follow infection control and biomedical waste management policies.
  • Inform senior staff about abnormal results, equipment malfunction, or sample issues.
  • Maintain adequate stock of reagents and laboratory consumables.
  • Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other departments for timely reporting of investigations.
