Post a Job

Posting a job typically takes 10 minutes or less

Once you’ve gathered all of the information you need for your job post, submitting your job post to Indeed typically takes 10 minutes or less.

Job posts go live within a few hours

Job posts go live within a few hours upon submitting details.

If this is the first time posting on Indeed, the process might take a little longer because it goes through a verification process to ensure legitimate job requirements are posted. In such instances your job will go live within 24 hours of submission.

Once the job is live on Indeed, candidates will be able to immediately apply for the job.

We will email you the resumes you receive

To make sure you can respond quickly to candidates, Indeed mails out every applicant’s resume to you.

Upon posting your job, you can select the option to have an email sent out to you, every time you get an application, or a daily email summary.

Newer job postings appear higher in the search results

Your jobs are displayed to job seekers based on when they were first submitted. The first day it’s posted, the job will appear at the top of relevant search results. With the passage of time, your job post will fall back in search results.

Sponsored jobs work differently. They receive higher visibility and don’t only depend on search results over time.

Get a weekly summary of job postings

Every Monday, you will receive a summary of your Indeed job postings. It includes information such as the applications you received, sponsored jobs and their details, and any additional opportunities you may need to improve job postings and thus get better results.

Please bear in mind, the information you receive might change from time to time as we work towards giving you a better experience.

Every open job gets paused after 30 days

If your job post hasn’t been closed already, Indeed will automatically pause your job after 30 days on the site and notify you of the same (not applicable to Sponsored Jobs).

A paused job doesn’t appear in the search results. You will receive an email asking to confirm whether you’re still actively looking at applications.

If your search for the right candidate is still on, visit the Jobs tab of your Employee Dashboard and change your job status from Paused to Open. Once Open, your job post will again begin to appear in the search results.
