How does Indeed pricing work?

What are sponsored jobs?

Sponsored Jobs are paid job posting that receive higher visibility in the search results when compared to organic or unpaid listings.

Does Indeed charge me for posting my job requirement?

For a majority of jobs on Indeed, sponsoring (paying for the listing) really isn’t a requirement. We’ll let you know in case a job listing needs to be sponsored for it to appear in the search results.

How do I sponsor my job?

If you choose to promote your job as a Sponsored Job on Indeed, you can decide how much you want to spend daily or monthly for optimal placement.

What budget should I set for my sponsored job?

An ideal daily budget depends on the type of job you are offering, job location and how quickly you need to fill it.

The budget page has an ‘Estimator Tool’ to give you an idea of how many applications to expect from your planned budget, based on the performance of similar jobs in your area.

In case you need more quality candidates, you can keep adjusting your budget upwards in small increments.

Who can I talk to if I have questions about sponsored jobs?

A member of our Client Servicing team will be at your service to answer any budget related queries you may have. You can reach out to 1-800-419-9967.

What information do I need to post a job on Indeed

How do I post a job on Indeed?

For help with “post a job” flow and and a step-by-step guide, see our article on How to Post a Job on Indeed.

Is there anything I should avoid when posting a job on Indeed?

Indeed’s search engine – unlike other job sites – matches job listings to what candidates are looking for, with details in your job title and description.

This means that generic tactics used to catch the attention of job seekers elsewhere may not work well on Indeed as compared to clear, concise titles and detailed job descriptions.

How do I create a job title that will show up frequently in Indeed’s search results?

Instead of choosing a title that is only meant to catch eyeballs, choose one that aligns with a quality job seeker’s needs.

The best titles on Indeed describe an ideal job to one who is genuinely looking for it. The term ‘Project Ninja’ is the last thing a certified project manager would likely type into the search field. Opt for titles that are clear, descriptive and match the role.

How should I write my job description on Indeed?

Indeed’s job descriptions are meant to be easily searched and identifiable.

  • Avoid internal language and acronyms in job descriptions that job seekers would not know.
  • Mention the job title several times throughout the job description.
  • Detail day-to-day responsibilities of the position in simple terms that even a layperson can understand.
  • Ensure all preferred and requisite certifications or degrees for the role are clearly mentioned.

Is there specific information I must provide about the position I’m hiring for?

When uploading the job post details, you will be asked to specify the terms of the position –  whether full-time, part-time or contractual – including an option for mentioning the salary. While the latter isn’t mandatory, our data has revealed that applicants prefer listings with these details.

Does Indeed provide guidelines for what types of jobs can be posted?

Indeed’s Job Posting Guidelines are very detailed, with relevant do’s and don’ts that explain the kind of job content and posting practices that exist in order to create the best search experience for job seekers.

Please note that this information is only a guide. We cannot give every reason why a job or a company may be removed, and, as stated in our terms of service, we always retain the right to undertake such a removal if we feel it is in our interest or our users’ interest.

Are there actions I can take to ensure job postings become more visible on Indeed?

To make sure that all job seekers receive the best possible job search experience from Indeed, we verify every basic company detail before the job goes on the site.

A physical location (even for work-from-home roles) and a working phone number, for example, are critical details that help us in the verification of opportunities to candidates.

Do you need a confirmation of my email address to ensure job visibility on Indeed?

Confirmation of your email address is a crucial part of the account setup process. Upon account creation, we will send an email to the registered mail address for verification.

Your job will not be visible to job seekers until you verify your email address.
